Colorado Springs Color Specialist
I’m Sydney, the stylist behind Color Quest. After 15+ years behind the chair, I’ve found my sweet spot in the hair that takes a little more creativity, problem-solving, and color knowledge.
I specialize in vivid color, color corrections, extensions, and customized transformations — but what I really love is figuring out how to take an idea and make it work for your hair.
Color is kind of how my brain works.
I’ve always loved the puzzle-solving side of hair color— color theory, formulation, placement, patterns, and figuring out how to get from the hair you have to the hair you actually want. Color corrections and creative transformations are especially fun for me because no two heads of hair are the same.
That love of problem-solving has also led me to my role as the Color Expert at my salon, where I help other stylist with color formulations/ color theory, application choices, the art of a great consultation, and more.
For my clients, that means you never need to know exactly what to ask or how we’re going to get there. Bring me the inspiration, the weird idea, the color you’ve been told isn’t possible, or the hair history you’re nervous to explain — and we’ll figure it out together.
Hair color isn’t one-size-fits-all.
I’ve never believed that colorful or creative hair is only for a certain type of person. Your age, your job, your style, or the fact that you’ve never done anything “wild” with your hair before doesn’t mean you can’t have hair that feels exciting and completely like you.
And creative doesn’t always have to mean rainbow. Sometimes it’s a hidden pop of color, an unexpected placement, a dimensional red, or a blonde that feels anything but basic. We can adjust the overall look to fit your lifestyle.
My job isn’t to talk you into my version of your hair. It’s to listen to what you love, what you want, what you don’t want, be realistic about what your hair can handle, and figure out how to create your dream hair.
Outside the Salon
My fiancé, Caleb and I built a custom Tiny House on Wheels together and in 2023 we moved it to Colorado from my hometown in San Diego. In 2025 we were interviewed by Tiny House Expedition. You can watch our full interview on youtube!
I’ve always loved horses, and I also work as a wrangler taking people on horseback rides through Garden of the Gods. Otherwise, I enjoy spending time with my fur family, juicing and focusing on health and self care, or going to concerts.
